Mission, Vision, and Values
Mission:
We help people take an honest look at the beliefs and behaviors that keep them stuck, then walk with them as they move toward connection, recovery, and lasting change.
Vision:
Our vision is to create safe, honest, and hope-filled spaces where people can grow through faith, 12-step recovery principles, meaningful conversation, and the support of community.
What Guides Us:
1. God
We believe the 12-2-1 Model is God-given, and we strive to give Him the glory for the good work that happens here. Our faith shapes how we serve, how we listen, and how we hold hope for people.
2. 12-Step Recovery
We believe in the 12-step philosophy and way of life. We seek to understand, practice, and share recovery principles that help people live with honesty, humility, accountability, and hope.
3. Community
We believe recovery grows best in community. At 12-2-1, we work to build a healthy spirit of connection among our team, our participants, our partners, and the people we serve.
4. The Essentials of Recovery
We believe recovery is strengthened by simple, powerful principles that must be practiced, not just talked about.
Honesty: Not just the absence of a lie, but the presence of the whole truth.
Open-Mindedness: Closed minds don’t open doors.
Willingness: Do the next right thing, one step at a time.
5. Optimal Wellness
We believe in being good stewards of the bodies, minds, and lives God has given us. We support abstinence from alcohol and mood- or mind-altering drugs, while encouraging healthy eating, active living, balance, and overall wellness.
6. Creativity
We believe we are most like our Creator when we create. We encourage out-of-the-box thinking, creative problem-solving, and fresh approaches in the development of our programs and services.
7. Authenticity
We are fallible human beings, and we make mistakes. When we mess up, we admit it, make it right when we can, and keep growing. We sincerely strive to be the “real deal” in all that we do.
