Faith's Story

Faith Wilson, MA
Co-Founder & Associate Director, 12-2-1 Roundtables
Faith Wilson is the co-founder and Associate Director of 12-2-1 Roundtables, a program of Straight Gate, Inc. A grateful believer in Jesus Christ, Faith brings decades of experience in human services, recovery support, corrections, counseling, and faith-based ministry.
Faith has been in long-term recovery from substances and compulsive eating. She began her work in the human services field in 1985 as a college intern working with suicide-risk adolescents on Rikers Island, New York. She later worked with individuals in solitary confinement until 1998, when she accepted a position with New York State Parole.
Faith earned a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 1991. After relocating to West Virginia in 2015, she served in Community Corrections as a substance abuse counselor and later as a therapist in Juvenile Corrections.
Today, Faith serves alongside her husband Jim in recovery-focused ministry and counseling work. Her heart for people, lived recovery experience, and professional background help shape the compassionate, honest, and hope-filled environment of 12-2-1 Roundtables.
